Preface

Karen and I have moved back to Bozeman, Montana, after 5 years in San Diego and nearly 8 years in Vermont.  I had intended to write my thoughts about returning to Montana in a notebook, but I realized that I'm much faster and more comfortable using the computer anyway, and I've wanted to figure this "Google" thing out anyway, so I thought I'd give this a try.  I'm not sure if this is public or private -- or if I even have a preference -- but if it's public, you're likely to find it pretty boring to read routinely.  I'm just using it as a place to put my thoughts so that the process forces me to clarify my thinking.

I see by the title at the top of this page that this is a "blog".  It appears that I started a blog two years ago titled "Hello, World" (programmers will find that amusing). I didn't do anything else with it because I wasn't sure what I could/should do.  But when I googled "Google blog", it gave me a link and took me here, after asking me to sign in, so I guess this is a blog.  It seems to be starting off right, at least.

So, if you're reading this by accident, I apologize for its boring content.  It probably wasn't intended for you.  :-)

Given that forewarning, forge ahead at your own peril (of terminal boredom!).

David

  1. Thanks so much for sharing your story. I love Vermont as well, but really liked Montana when we visited there for the first time a couple years ago. Please keep writing.

  2. Theresa, thanks! I see you've been doing some traveling to interesting places, too. If you have the opportunity to come up to Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Little Bighorn, Cody, etc., please plan to stay with us as a base camp. No furniture yet (still in VT), but it's comfortable and I hear the food is at least passable. :-)
